A win at any time of the year is great, but a win so early in the New Year is always a refreshing start! FU JAK was able to secure his maiden victory on 4 January 2011!

Having only his fifth race start and having already finished 2nd and 3rd in races we were very hopeful that a win was not far away.

FU JAK, a 4YO by Bianconi out of Fuji Fairy, has been partnered in all of his race starts with us by Daniel Schmitt. The benefits of sticking with the same jockey were very evident in the win. FU JAK looked at though he was going to throw the race away at times but Daniel was prepared for what may happened and was able to beat him every time and get him to the line to win by almost 2 lengths.

Tony Noonan was wrapped with the win ‘it is great to get this win early in the New Year. I am especially pleased for his owner Pip Cooper who has been very patient with the horse’

‘He races as though he still has a lot to learn but he is slowly putting it together and hopefully now that he has got that win there will be a few more in the not to distant future’.

Congratulations to Pip Cooper who not only owns the horse but also bred him. We hope now that there are plenty of wins to follow!
