Jake update - Friday am
May 13, 2011
Jake had a good night. Again some progress has been made. He is now awake more often and for longer periods. His left side motor skills have improved slightly but his thigh co-ordination is still a problem. Doctors advise that this is to be expected.
He is starting to feel bored. He is most likely to remain in the Royal Melbourne Trauma ward for at least the weekend and will not be released until all swelling and his brain function and co-ordination fall within the normal range. His doctors want him kept quiet until given the all clear.
He will most likely spend a few days in a rehab hospital before he is allowed home.
Again if you wish to visit Jake please check first to arrange a visit. Visits are being co-ordinated by Des O'Keefe on 0412 544 155.
