It is after much deliberation and with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Boo Harvey as our Racing Manager.

As everyone would know it has been some time since Jill Murphy has left us and since then we have had a number of applications and interviews with people for the position. I was quite taken by the standard and experience of the applicants and that made it probably a more difficult but interesting decision to work through and be comfortable and confident with what that particular person can bring to the Stable.

Boo has come to us from working at Lindsay Park Stud (now known as Cornerstone Stud). Her role there was Client Relations Manager which involved promoting the stallions, selling nominations and managing the bloodstock of Studs and that of their clients. Prior to that Boo has worked extensively throughout Europe, spending time with Luca Cumani in England and also Pia Brandt, in Chantilly, France, where she rode out and assisted in normal stable duties. Prior to that she was an Agribusiness Analyst with the National Australia Bank in Albury.

Boo originally hails from Hay and has been involved in racing for a major part of her life, her family have raced horses for a number of years and she clearly has a deep seated interest and energy and passion for the industry.

Once you meet Boo you will find that she is very accommodating, energetic, and passionate for the game and I have no doubt she will be helpful in making your time with Greendale a pleasurable one.

It is important appointment and I think Boo’s attributes should be a great asset for the future of the Stable.

Her position officially begins on Monday, 20th June, and the plan will be that Boo will be working out of the office at Mornington and will be attending the races regularly.

I welcome her, I am confident that she is going to enjoy her time here at Greendale and am confident that she is going to work diligently and bring another dimension and energy to Greendale that will help us continue to offer services and results that we can be proud of.
