Paramour finally breaks his maiden status at Mornington on Friday in the 3rd race of the card, the Data Decor Interiors Plate run over 1223m. Jake Noonan was in the saddle, and settled him back off the speed, one of the more fancied runners in Leica Blizzard setting a good pace in front, Jake gave our horse the gift run out the back off the speed with cover, then once rounding the bend Jake was able to get him across to the inside, which opened up and let him career on to win fairly comfortably, running the event in a time of 1-12.59.

This was a much deserved win for his connections, Peter McMahon, Rex and Wendy Gorrell and Peter Pauseway, with Paramour having been off the racing scene for nearly 12 months, we were all really thrilled to get this result for them and congratulate Tony on his terrific training effort to be able to get the horse up to win first up like this after having had such a long time off.

Paramour is by Redoute’s Choice out of the Thunder Gulch Mare, Lets Get Even, making him the full brother to the Group 3 Norman Robinson (2000m) Winner in Get Square.
