AMALGAMATE broke through her maiden status at Ballarat in the 1600m Maiden for her winning connections; David Wagner, Perry Gunner, Phillip Reid, Peter Rofe and John Barrington.

This was an impressive win and what makes this win all the more exciting for her connections is they also bred this 3 year old daughter of Zenno Rob Roy, who is shaping up to be a lovely staying filly in the making for them.

This win came at the fillys 4th ever race start, and 3rd start into this preparation, whilst having placed at her 2 previous starts this preparation, she is still learning though what its all about racing a little bit green, however she proved to be a worthy favourite proving to good for her nearest rival, kicking at the top of the straight to weave through the field and go on and score by over 1.5 lengths.

By the son of Sunday Silence, Zenno Rob Roy, himself the winner of Group 1 Japan Cup, he only stood in Australia briefly so has had few runners here in Australia, Amalgamate’s win takes his tally to 7 winners from just 17 runners here so far, his other most notable runner being the Listed Manfred Stakes winner Eijin Number Nine.

AMALGAMATE is now the 6th winner for her dam Snazzy Nazzy, who has been a good mare for her owners, having produced Nikalapko who was placed in the SAJC St Leger and won 7 races over distances between 1200m to 2400m, but sadly for her connections unfortunately Snazzy Nazzy is no longer with us but does have 2 more progeny by Oratorio yet to come through.

We are looking forward to what lies ahead for AMALGAMATE, she is a lovely filly and is shaping into being a a promising staying filly in the future and again congratulations to her owners and we are looking forward to hopefully bigger and better things to come for this filly.
