Yesterday was a great day for the Tony Noonan Racing team with Grand Orator running 1st, Jungle Rover 2nd and Split the Faith 3rd.

Grand Orator won the $30,000 SPIRAL LOGISTICS PTY LTD PLATE on his home track; Mornington. In his fourth race start “Grand Orator” jumped well and sat comfortably on the inside rail with plenty of cover. As they peeled open on the home turn, you could see the confidence booming in the horse and the jockey; Jake Noonan. Straightening up Grand Orator kicked away and looked strong hitting the line to win by a neck. It was a great day for owners L. Mihalyka, F. Cook, Mrs C. Cook, G. Duffy-Smith, Mrs K. Fraser, Miss A Globe and S. Madge, all who have been patient with “Grand Orator”. The TNR team couldn’t be happier for them.

Split the Faith ran a good 3rd in her first run at 1700m in the Perth Racing TV Handicap at Belmont. Jordan Mallyon gave it every chance and said a win wasn’t to far away for her. Split the Faith would gain a great amount of confidence coming away from this run and showed a great deal of an improvement.

Jungle Rover gave it his all and tried hard to win the chocolates but ran a good 2nd in the PR Midweek Roast Package Handicap at Belmont. At the end of the day his second start in Perth after coming from Melbourne has shown that he is only going to improve over time and further distance. Again Jordan Mallyon was in the saddle and was confident he and the horse would perform; and that a win is not to far away for Jungle Rover and his connections.

On another note it’s great to see Jake Noonan get a win for the family team as well as a double for the day. He moved up on the Apprentice Leader board and is chasing down girlfriend and Leader Katie Mallyon. Also another Mallyon has been performing well; especially for the TNR team in Perth. Jordan Mallyon made the decision some time ago to move up to Perth for his career and we are really happy for him that his talent is starting to speak for itself.
