Last Friday evening Tony Noonan Racing launched it first Friday evening “after work” stable visits for local workplaces, community groups and sporting clubs.
Management and staff from the local NAB branch, and a couple from nearby branches, visited the stables of Tony Noonan Racing for an “after work” get together.
The visit hosted personally by Tony, with the assistance of his staff, demonstrated some of the features of the facility and what goes into the preparation of a thoroughbred to get it to the races.
One of Tony’s horses was paraded, spent some time on the horse treadmill (which was amazing for the group to see), was put through the pool and then onto the walker. Tony presented an insight into the finer points of training racehorses whilst these activities were taking place.
The practical demonstration was then followed by some nibbles and refreshments put on by Tony at which the group asked several interesting and excellent questions about the art of training horses, Tony’s experiences as a trainer and the industry in general.
Tony and his staff also had the chance to mingle with the group to learn more about their work and general interests.
The visit which was organised from the NAB end by local Business Banking Manager Karen Sandry, was very well received with Karen commenting “that the feedback from the group had been sensational”.
Some of the group have even expressed some syndicate based interest in being involved in a share in one of Tony’s horses somewhere in the future.
It was a pleasure having the NAB group visit our stable and we thank Karen and all the NAB attendees for their very enthusiastic involvement.
We look forward to promoting the concept to other local community, sporting and work groups in the future.
