PEMBA NEPALI rewarded the tremendous patience of her owners with a terrific victory at Sale on Sunday 21st July 2013. The four-year-old Domesday mare has only had the 8 starts because she has suffered from various issues for most of her career and it looked at times like she would not be able to win a race despite her obvious ability. The mare had a stop-start sort of lead-up to the race at Sale due to issues with her joints which have been ongoing, we had to scratch her from a race at Cranbourne in early July and give her some time on the water-walker which obviously did her the world of good.

She was a little bit slow to get into stride in the race at Sale, settled back in the field, came out wide around the corner and comfortably sprinted passed them to record a 1.75 length victory.  The mare was ridden terrifically by Adam McCabe who has done a lot of work for us recently and it was great to see him rewarded with his first winner for the stable.

Congratulations to owners G M Fraser, N O Ferguson, Mrs L A Ferguson, J R Ferguson, S Ferguson, Ms N M Ferguson, G T Griffiths, Street Cry No 2 (Mgr: C J Williamson), Club Postcodians (Mgr: J R Bishop), K S C Racing (Mgr: G J Tobin), Mrs F A Bishop & K S C No 2 (Mgr: G J Tobin) who have been so patient and supportive of the mare, to her strapper Jen Duffy, all the staff at Greendale, the staff at Shadowbrook where she went to the water-walker and jockey Adam McCabe.
