The stable was delighted with the victory of SURIBACHI today (Tuesday) at Sale. In only his second race start and his first run in over 12 months he was able to get through the heavy going to secure victory.

Ridden by Chris Symons, the plan was to box seat with him. He got him into a lovely position and nearing the turn the field got off the fence and Chris had a lap full of horse  and let him stride. It was a gutsy win 'Before the race he got stirred up in the mounting yard, but we got around to the barriers OK, during the run I was looking for cover and when they raced wide I opted to go forward' Symons said.

'He ran very well. It was a tough win coming off such a long break'.

The horse has struggled to get runs and today was lucky to get a run as he was second emergency in the race.

We hope that the owners enjoyed the victory and that he goes on now to a problem free preparation! Congratulation to his owners John & Gill Capellin and Michael & Annette McGrath.
