HEAVENLY TOUCH TOUGHS IT OUT AT BALLARAT

Mar 02, 2012

Congratulations to everyone involved with HEAVENLY TOUCH who scored a very tough win at Ballarat on March 1st.  Braving terrible weather conditions which saw multiple downgrades of the track, she produced a brave all-the-way win in the fillies and mares maiden over 1600m. At one stage this mare looked like she would not even make it to the track given she had some serious back problems but the owners G Sirianni, F Sirianni, M Santalucia, J Iacovangelo, Mrs M Bonacci, H Tsigaras, D Sapuppo, J Moroney, Go Wilder Syndicate (Mgr: D J Auld) have been extremely patient and have given the mare every chance to recover. Their patience was finally rewarded and it was a great thrill for them as well as for the stable staff who have worked tirelessly preparing her for the races. Having her first start at the 1600m on a Heavy track may have caused some to doubt her chances but her half a length victory with Jake Noonan in the saddle showed her tremendous courage and will to win. A good group of owners attended the meeting who must be applauded for braving the elements on a cold and miserable day in Ballarat. We look foward to her putting more wins on the board from here and we are also excited about her full sister, JOHANNA'S OWN, making her race debut in the next few weeks.
