BLACK GRAPE GIVES HIS RIVALS THE PIP!!

Nov 02, 2012

Promising 3yo gelding Black Grape made amends for his unlucky first start runner up with a very encouraging winning performance yesterday in the 1000m Maiden at Northam in WA.

Starting favourite, and despite between trapped wide throughout, Jordan Mallyon balanced the horse up on straightening and he finished strongly to win convincingly.

Our congratulations go to Nick, for not only putting the polish on Black Grape as understudy to Tony Noonan, but also Nick owns the horse in his own right - well done Nick. The "Grape" looks like having a bright future.
