Nov 04, 2013

On behalf of Gabriel, my family and the staff yesterday, I would like to thank everyone for their attendance at our events on Sunday, November 3rd. Firstly we had our breakfast in the morning which we run every year for a lot of our interstate clients and in particular Laurel Oak Bloodstock headed by Louis Mihalyka. We were lucky enough to have them with us, the weather was a bit unkind, we dodged a couple of showers but we were able to parade 15 horses which looked in excellent order and I am sure everyone had a terrific morning. There were about 70 in attendance for breakfast, it was a fun morning and the weather held off for us to be able to parade the horses.

It started a good day where most went on to the Mornington races to the Peninsula Cup meeting and then arrived back for the After Derby Barby at 6pm that night which was attended by about 200 people. The night went terrifically, it was great to catch up with so many people, as I mentioned last night, we really do enjoy our day which has now become a traditional part of the Melbourne Cup celebrations in our mind. It is a great opportunity to catch up with people and so many familiar faces and friendships were enjoyed last night.

Thanks to Gabriel and the crew for the preparation of a lovely meal, all went terrific, there was a lot of singing and dancing at the end of the night and not much voice left for the trainer in the morning.

For those who were not able to attend, hopefully we will be able to see you there next year, and for those that did attend, thanks very much again for supporting the day. As I said yesterday, I am confident that the horses that were paraded yesterday are going to be capable of bringing some success to the stable and everyone involved.
