Mornington shines for launch of Social Syndicates program

Apr 01, 2015

Mornington put on a perfect afternoon of warm weather and sunny skies for the launch of Tony Noonan Racing’s Social Syndicates program.

Trainer Tony Noonan was joined at his Mornington stables by members from the Beleura Retirement Village alongside mothers and children from local primary school St Thomas More.

The first horse to be owned under Noonan’s Social Syndicates banner is an Excellent Art x Fairy Moon 2-year-old filly who goes by the stable name “Alexa”.

Social Syndicate members were invited to attend brunch with Alexa followed by a tour of Noonan’s stables.

The Social Syndicate concept was launched by Noonan six months ago to give social groups an opportunity to own a share in a racehorse to be raced as a group. Alongside the many exciting activities associated with racehorse ownership, the stable also organise various social gatherings throughout the year for the syndicate, away from racing.

“We’ve had 80 people here this afternoon to see their horse because our Social Syndicates program is great opportunity for people from all walks of life to get a taste of racehorse ownership,” Noonan said.

“For as little as $10 per month, you can have a wonderful journey with our stable whether that be here at the stable or at the social events down at the winery, the bowls club or just at the pub for a beer and a punt.”
