Noonan brings up a Dynamic Duo of back-to-back Gold Coast wins

It might have been a long way from his Mornington base in but trainer Tony Noonan has continued a scintillating run of form with Dynamic Duo making it two wins from two starts in the Sunshine State with another impressive win at the Gold Coast this afternoon.
Eagle-eyed punters that followed Dynamic Duo into the race may have noticed Noonan scratched the runner twice during the week to run today, where the trainer was pleased to get the win after a few nervous moments.
“I thought we were in a bit of trouble at the top of the straight when that horse tried to box us in but full credit to Jason Taylor for getting into the clear where the colt produced again," said Noonan.
“We’ve always had an opinion of this horse which is why I wanted to spell him in Queensland over Winter but once he arrived, he was bouncing around so well that we decided to give him a run or two and he’s won both those starts convincingly.
“I’ve got to give credit to our Racing Manager, Alfred Chan, who is a very good form man. He was certain that this was our best option in terms of opposition and prize money so I took his advice and scratched from Eagle Farm and Ipswich.
“I joked to him yesterday afternoon that if we got beat here, it would be on him but full credit to the horse, he’s made it look quite easy on the line.”
Jumping well from barrier 1, Dynamic Duo was a length slow out of the gates before Taylor poked up along the fence to find a good position midfield.
With good speed up front, Taylor made the decision to ease off the fence prior to the bend where he appeared to angle clear before one came up on his outside. Still on the bridle, the 3-year-old Not a Single Doubt colt made slight contact as Taylor sought clear running but once clear, Dynamic Duo ($2.60F) let down with a powerful turn-of-foot to make easy work for the 4 length lead he’d spotted the leader, before kicking clear to win by half-a-length.
Now with two wins from 9 career starts, Dynamic Duo takes his earnings beyond $50,000 after today’s performance.
