All Tony can talk about since the curtain went down on the 2023 Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale this week, is how chuffed he is to have walked away with a "steal" on the last day of the sale. The surprise packet was Lot 686, A daughter of first season sire Strasbourg, from the Fastnet Rock mare, Zero Visibility for $10,000.

One thing is for sure, this filly is a 2yo through and through. Not overly big, she is a short coupled filly with a powerful hind quarter, great shoulder and deep girth. She has three strands of the Danehill breed through her pedigree and Tony sees a lot of Danehill in her looks and conformation. She has that beautiful Bay colour and medium height, typical of the breed. She is a racy 2yo type who we will not have to wait long for and we will know what ability she possesses within twelve months.

Her sire Strasbourg, is a first season sire by super sire I Am Invincible and he was a Group 2 winning 2yo himself. His first yearlings have been very well received this year so far and he is throwing really strong running types and trainers are happy to have them. On the maternal side of the pedigree, the page is filled with 2yo winners from Australia and Europe and this filly is obviously typical of the family as her physique matches her pedigree and leaves you in no doubt she will be an early running type.

Tony remarked after her purchase that " This filly will be up and going early and her owners will not be waiting too long for her to begin faster training as a 2yo. We do not often target 2yo types but I thought this was terrific value for $10,000 and the added carrot of Super Vobis and Vobis Gold bonuses of offer for her when she hits the track. Her X Rays and Scope are 100% and I cannot wait for her to being her education process"

We have decided to offer two options for potential owners of this filly. The traditional purchase of a % share or an alternative option which offers a once off payment with no fees for the next twelve months.  Details below:

$2200.00 for 5% and NO FEES until March 1st 2024* GST included.

Billing for the share will commence from 1^st March 2024

$800.00 for 5% share.

Monthly training Fees

 

This includes

-        Purchase price of the horse

-        All expenses to 31^st March 2023

 

Billing for the share will commence from 1^st April 2023

 

Fees can be paid by Monthly account or

Set Fee payment of $200.00 per month per 5% share purchased*
