Dominant Wins Again At Wangaratta.
One thing is for sure, the Dom Racing Syndicates love a day at the races and no matter where they have a runner, you can bet your life they will be well represented to cheer their horse on, and win, lose or draw a good day will be had by all.

That was the case at Wangaratta last Saturday afternoon when Dominant Miss travelled up the Hume Highway to Wangaratta in search over her 2nd victory in her 9th start at the races. Since her excellent maiden win at Werribee, she has run creditably on three occasions and on occasion has cost herself by failing to run straight when the chips were down.

The stable was full of confidence heading to Wangaratta as Tony had tinkered with her gear in track work leading in and thought the addition of a cross over noseband may be the gear change she needed to produce another positive outcome. The booking of a senior rider in Jake was another change which we had hoped may bring about a change in fortune.

Things could not have gone to script any better and Dominant Miss began well and sat outside the leader. Jake held her together until the time was right and when he asked for an effort, he got a terrific response and she went away for a comfortable 1.25 length win. A terrific result for connections who were heard cheering loudly as she past the line.

Dominant Miss was purchased by Tony at the 2022 Vobis Gold Sale for $28,000 and is from the 2nd crop for stallion Overshare. He is a stallion who is getting regular winners from a very reasonable stud fee and has Gr.1 winner Lady Laguna as his headline act. Dominant Miss is the first foal from mum Sweet Temptations who now has a 2yo colt by Pariah and a yearling Colt by Kings Legacy on the ground.

Dominant Miss has come through that race in terrific shape and connections will be hoping she can go on with the job in hand now. There are plenty of sprinting options for her coming up in September and hopefully it continues to rain and the tracks are suitable for her.

Congratulations to The Dom Racing 1 & 2 Syndicates and let's hope there are many more wins in store for "Olga" and many more successful road trips for the loyal team of owners.
